I had the idea to make a web page with bookmarks of pages I frequently use then set said page as the custom page for the home button in browsers I use on my devices. Something akin to Google’s iGoogle and Microsoft my.live.com, which I used to use back in the day. I tried doing so in Edge for Android, but then I wanted to change the URL. That did not work. Looks like that there is a bug in the version I am using (120.0.2210.64). It appears that the “home” button has its own value and once set it is not updated again by any changes made on the settings page! After force stopping the app and clearing cache, nothing changed. I had to reset the app storage to be able to set the new home page URL!
